About Laraya Parnell
Laraya Parnell, Of Counsel at SW&M, brings nearly a decade of expertise in employment law and civil litigation. Her impressive portfolio includes guiding clients through the complexities of hiring, termination, employee benefits, and workplace policies, as well as tackling challenging issues like wage and hour disputes, harassment, wrongful termination, and discrimination. Laraya’s keen insight into regulatory compliance further solidifies her role as a trusted advisor.
Before joining SW&M, Laraya was a litigation attorney at a California labor and employment law firm. Laraya also previously served as Deputy Attorney General, where she skillfully managed and led over 30 federal and state cases. Her strategic approach to complex litigation consistently delivered favorable outcomes for major clients. Beyond the courtroom, Laraya has a strong track record in shaping and advising on employment policies, from hiring practices to leaves of absence, contributing to her remarkable record of defense victories.
Outside of the office, Laraya is an avid reader and enjoys hiking, traveling, attending sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.
