Jennifer Williams, Of Counsel at SW&M, has an extensive legal background spanning over 15 years. She brings a wealth of expertise in the fields of general credit union law, regulatory compliance, privacy and cybersecurity, lending, audit, enterprise risk management, as well as fraud and loss prevention.

Prior to joining the credit union movement, Jennifer held a range of notable positions at broker dealers in New York, NY. In 2011, she transitioned to the credit union industry, beginning her journey as the Chief Legal Counsel for Aventa Credit Union in Colorado Springs, CO. She then assumed the role of Vice President of Risk Management at California Coast Credit Union in San Diego, CA, before serving as the General Counsel & Chief Risk Officer for Frontwave Credit Union in Oceanside, CA, in her most recent role.

Jennifer’s industry knowledge and experience have led her to become a sought-after speaker in credit union conferences. Furthermore, she actively engages with various civic organizations and serves on nonprofit boards, showcasing her commitment to making a positive impact beyond her professional endeavors. Outside the office, she is the proud mother of a son, a daughter and three exuberant dogs. She enjoys soaking up the San Diego sun and spending as much time as possible outside hiking, swimming, going to the beach, traveling to new places and coaching her children’s basketball and soccer teams.
