About Alex Wade

Alex Wade is an Associate Attorney at SW&M and is part of the firm’s Regulatory Compliance and Litigation Management practice groups. Using his experience in consumer defense, complex business litigation, governmental liability, insurance entity defense and personal injury law, he has represented national banks, collection agencies, loan servicers and community credit unions in state and federal courts.

Alex takes great pride in his work ethic, dedication and zealous representation of his clients and has received numerous favorable rulings, including a favorable ruling from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals that impacted the financial industry. Prior to joining SW&M, Alex worked for the Florida Office of the Attorney General where he dealt extensively with the civil enforcement of unfair and deceptive trade practices and business licensing laws and regulations. Alex gained valuable experience working at the Florida Office of the Attorney General, which has helped him provide valuable insight to many financial institutions over the years.

Alex was born and raised on the Caribbean Island of Montserrat and came to the United States after a natural disaster forced him and his family from their home. This experience inspired Alex to give back in a substantial way; he is a philanthropist and volunteer for many local organizations, including his church. While he is devoted to his community, he is also a proud husband and father. As an ex-college athlete, he enjoys watching and participating in sports in his free time.
